On September 14th, at the Mother Teresa Auditorium located in the city of Kalaburagi, a cultural
program and various competitions were organized for the children of the evening tuition centers
in the slum areas by the Seva Sangama organization on the occasion of Independence Day on
14.09.2024. Activities such as dance, singing, rangoli, drawing, and speech competitions were
arranged for the children.
Father Stany Lobo, Vicar General of Gulburga Diocese, who inaugurated the event, said, "Just as
the lotus flower is beloved but grows in the mud, God's wonderful gift of talent has been
bestowed upon the children from the slum areas. May His blessings always be upon you."
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Renuka saradagi, District Coordinator of the Slum People's
Movement, Kalaburagi, mentioned that the Seva Sangama organization has come forward to
establish evening centers for the development of children lagging behind in education,
specifically for the poor children of the slum areas. As a result, it has been possible to identify
the talents in these children and provide them with valuable education.
On the dais, Father Deepak, Assistant Director of Seva Sangama, along with Master. Rohit and
Master. Shravan were present. Mrs. Shweta, the coordinator, delivered the introductory remarks.
Prizes were distributed to the children who won the competitions. In total, 90 people, including
teachers from the evening centers, children, and staff of Seva Sangama, participated in the event.
Malashree hosted the program, while Ranjitha welcomed the participants.
