Target group: The disabled children below the age of 8 belonging to economically weaker sections of the community.
Smart Goal: To strengthen the ecosystem for early-stage intervention and early education (EI & EE) for 517 children with disabilities/development delays of Kalaburagi Taluk and 3 PHC Hoonkirangi, Farhatabad, Savalgi, Nandoor ,Shrinivassardagi, Sanoor, between the age group of 0-8 years and the relevant stakeholders through therapeutic and support services.
Focus: The focus of the project is to provide early intervention to the young children with developmental delay and other disabilities. Besides this, speech therapy, physical therapy, corrective surgeries, Occupational Therapy, psychological and audiology services would be provided as an integral part of this programme. Basic education and various coping strategies will be imparted to the children from 3-6 years in order to enrol them to the mainstream schools and get adjusted to the school environment.
Besides this, families especially the parents and care givers are helped to gain control over their lives and develop their capacity to meet the emerging needs of their children and to promote development. All the other stakeholders in the community will be made aware of the needs of such children and necessary links to be utilized in providing service to these children and their families.

The Early Intervention and Early Education Program has made significant progress in
promoting the early identification, intervention and inclusion of children with developmental
delays and disabilities across Kalaburagi.
- Surveyed the urban area of Kalaburagi (Gulbarga), successfully covering 517 Anganwadi Centres.
- Identified and registered 495 children with developmental delays and disabilities.
- Conducted 427 reassessments to monitor children's developmental progress and plan appropriate interventions.
- Provided assistive aids and appliances to 65 children through our Early Intervention Centre.
- Trained 225 Anganwadi workers and other stakeholders on the early identification and referral of children with developmental delays and disabilities.
- Established a well-equipped Early Intervention Centre at a strategic location with a wide range of stimulation and therapy materials to support children's holistic development.
- Conducted 1,676 Home-Based Stimulation Activities, empowering parents and caregivers to continue developmental interventions at home.
- Conducted 1,314 Centre-Based Stimulation Activities to enhance children's physical, cognitive, communication, and social development.
- Facilitated one corrective surgery for a child with special needs.
- Supported families in opening 12 bank accounts, enabling access to government welfare schemes and financial inclusion.
- Organized 25 parent meetings to strengthen parental awareness, participation, and capacity in supporting their children's development.

- Expanded program services to the rural areas of Kalaburagi Taluk through collaboration with other development initiatives.
- Celebrated World Disability Day, with the participation of 425 community members, creating awareness on disability inclusion and equal opportunities.
- Facilitated caregiver financial assistance through the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens (DDWD) for 20 children, with a total support amount of Rs.1,17, 345/-.
