Farmers are the back bone of India
January 10: Sevasangam along with Ujjivan-III celebrated Farmers day at Sujnana Hall Kalaburgi. In his inaugural speech Fr Stany Lobo acclaimed that the adoption of eco friendly agriculture methods would yield more crop and also strengths the financial capacity of small scale farmers.He said as the Ujjivan-III social workers visiting the villages and teaching the new methods, the farmers must take initiatives to implement that methods in their agriculture. Shr Shivarya of Agriculture Department spoke about the deferent schemes and facilities made avail by government for small scale farmers in Karnataka must be made use by farmers. During this function three progressive farmers were honored for their outstanding contribution in the field of agriculture in drought stricken areas. Fr Victor Vaz,Fr Deepak and from ten villages totally 41 farmers participated in the program.
