On August 14th, a cancer awareness program was organized at the Government High School in
Usanoor, Kalaburagi Taluk. In this program, Mrs. Vijayalakshmi participated as the resource
person. Mrs. Swati, the coordinator of the cancer program from the Seva Sangama Social Service
Organization, raised awareness about cancer. She explained how cancer occurs, how we can take
precautions to prevent this disease, and provided information on getting tested if one develops
cancer. A total of 55 students from the 9th and 10th grades benefited from the program.
