Cancer is a life threatening disease. The people in villages are unaware of the disease and are shocked to hear the news of the disease when diagnosed at very last stage. By the time they reach hospitals for treatment, the patient loses life. This situation leaves the family in agony of losing loved one, losing money for costly treatment and resulting in impoverishing them further.

Sevasangama Development Society in collaboration with Caritas India and Narayana Health City, Bengaluru has initiated SPARSHA – Instilling Hope, Cancer Awareness Program in Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir and Vijayapura districts. Sevasangama conducts various awareness programs in the villages, conducts Cancer Screening Camps, promotes volunteers and helps people to get the disease diagnosed at an early stage. Sevasangama so far has helped 12 persons to get free treatment for Cancer in Narayana Health City Hospital in Bengaluru through this venture.
